Dear Trish, On behalf of my sister Cheryl and I, I would like to take a moment before all the organizing begins to thank you, Delice and the whole Alverstone team for the excellent care you provided for our father Raymond since he arrived with you in September. We so appreciate you being willing to take him in despite his frail condition when he arrived. Throughout his stay you worked so hard to help him regain strength and health. His visitors would frequently comment to us on how well cared for he looked. From my conversations with him, he clearly was happy with his new home which is a testament to the beautiful and happy environment you have created for the residents. We only wish we had discovered Alverstone earlier so that he could have benefitted from your care for longer. Our sincere thanks and best regards

From the moment I arrived at Alverstone Manor, and was warmly greeted by Trish, I knew that this was the perfect place for my mother. The setting is gracious and the gardens are beautiful. The lovely staff are always friendly and helpful. My Mum has settled well into her new home - making new friends and joining in varied activities, and taking escorted walks in the peaceful garden. It is heartwarming to know that she is so well cared for in such a beautiful setting.

My Mother has been lovingly and well cared for by the excellent staff for over four years. Nothing is ever too much trouble and even with the difficulty of communication (Mom is almost totally deaf) the staff are wonderful, caring and so patient. The residents are very well fed with tasty nutritious food and can never complain about being hungry. The highlight of my Mother's day is an accompanied walk around the beautiful garden admiring all the mostly indigenous plants. She also enjoys the activities, particularly the exercises, bingo, birthday celebrations, hairdresser etc. And her best day of the week is Friday when they have a church service followed by fish and chips! And then Sunday is roast day! She has a very comfortable on-suite room and enjoys sitting in the various lounges and outside in the sunshine or the...

My name is Mervyn Pollitt, a retired Chartered Secretary for over 50 years’ experience at a senior level in the manufacturing industry of South Africa.
About eleven years ago my wife came into contact with an totally disabled lady who was residing in the care home started by Trish Adams. Over the years the home has grown and now, Alverstone Manor in its present location is home to about 23 residents requiring various levels of assistance.

I cannot express enough how grateful our family is for the care and support that my mother received during her stay at Alverstone Manor. Its not easy to entrust the care of a loved one to others, but from the very beginning they put our minds at ease.
First and foremost the staff at Alverstone are exceptional. They treated my mother with the utmost respect, compassion and kindness. It was evident that they genuinely cared about her well being and comfort. Their dedication to making her feel at home was heartwarming.
The accommodations are top notch and she had all the privacy she needed while still having easy access to common areas where she could socialize and engage in activities. The attention to cleanliness and maintenance was impressive.
The chef, Zanele prepared delicious and nutritious meals. The communal dining area provided a wonderful opportunity for her to connect with other residents.
In summary, Alverstone Manor provided our family with peace of mind during a challenging time. Knowing my mother was in such capable and caring hands made a world of a difference. I wholeheartedly recommend Alverstone too anyone seeking exceptional care for their loved ones. It truly became a second home for my mother.

Not being able to fend for myself any longer I felt so fortunate to be living at Averstone Manor with my own spacious room and bathroom. First rate care and a beautiful garden to walk and relax in. I really recommend it for anyone looking for a care home for their families.

My first impression of the home was the cleanliness and warmth. I felt very welcomed and made to feel at home. Since coming here the impression has not wavered and all the residents feel the same. A wonderful place to call home
