Our Story
Alverstone Manor was founded by Sister Trish Adams when she felt a need for a personal home-away-from-home facility where one could grow old with dignity and enjoy personalised care. Sister Trish’s experience with caring for the elderly began with a small home, Acacia Care, catering for five elderly people in Waterfall, KwaZulu-Natal in 2008 and has now moved to a beautiful home in Alverstone, just outside Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal, overlooking the Assagay Valley.

Our heart is to create a vibrant community built on meaningful relationships that celebrates and encourages a uniqueness of spirit and character, a community where residents can thrive!

Our Team
The team at Alverstone Manor is lead by the Home’s passionate and caring Manager, Trish Adams. Trish is a qualified professional nurse who has been running Alverstone Manor Care Home for 14 years.
Her team includes two registered nurses and a strong contingent of staff nurses, enrolled nursing assistants, and carers. We have a high staff-to-patient ratio, ensuring that residents receive only the best care. As such, we can respond efficiently and timeously to any health changes we identify in a resident.
In addition to employees directly involved in patient care, we have an efficient housekeeper who doubles as our driver, transporting residents to doctors’ appointments, as well as a talented team of gardeners.
We pride ourselves on having staff who are motivated, friendly, cheerful and caring.
